Electrical Licensing
Application: Submit online via Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). [Link to application]
Requirements: 8,000 hours under a licensed Master Electrician + Complete a Journeyman Application + Pass the Journeyman Electrician Exam.
Exam: PSI Exam Services. 80-question multiple choice. Minimum passing score: 70%.
Certification: Upon passing, receive your Journeyman Electrician License. Annual renewal required.
Important: Must maintain supervised working hours and continuing education (4 hours/year).

HVAC-R Licensing
Application: Apply through TDLR. Choose between Class A or Class B licenses depending on system size capacity you will handle. [Link to application]
Requirements: 48 months of practical experience under a licensed contractor or equivalent education + work experience.
Exam: PSI Exam Services. Topics include installation, maintenance, repair, and federal EPA regulations. Must pass with a 70% or higher.
Certification: License issued after passing both exam sections. Renewal every year with 8 hours continuing education.
Important: Must hold an EPA 608 certification separately for handling refrigerants.

Plumbing Licensing
Application: Apply with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE). [Link to application]
Requirements: Apprentice registration + 4,000–8,000 hours of on-the-job training under a licensed Plumber (depending on license type: Tradesman, Journeyman, Master).
Exam: Written and hands-on practical exam. Topics: installation, repair, safety codes. Pass written portion first before scheduling practical.
Certification: Once passed, obtain Tradesman or Journeyman Plumbing License. Annual renewal with Continuing Professional Education (6 hours/year).
